“My World” by Lee Fields & the Expressions – Album Review

2 06 2009

leefieldstheexpressions_myworld_204This modern soulful kind of music normally doesn’t fall into my listening sphere, but I did like Lee Fields & the Expressions’ new album “My World.” Especially if this genre is up your alley with the soulful, groovy, man-trying-to-get-in-woman’s-pant’s kind of music— then you’ll love it. Reminded me of James Brown a few times, a toned down James Brown that is. “My world is empty with out you” is sweet, almost brought a tear to my eye . . . uh not really, but I like it.

Check it out for your self on AOL’s Spinner.
